Dr. Seuss

We celebrated Dr. Seuss' birthday this week by reading and learning all about Dr. Seuss and his fabulous silly stories! We kicked the week off by reading The Cat in the Hat. The girls practiced their patterning by making a cat in the hat -hat, and we reenacted the story by doing some of the silly things the cat did in the book! We read several Dr. Suess books each day and the girls focused a lot on listening for rhyme words and also for "made-up" words.
