Christmas Morning

We woke up on Christmas morning to the sweet little voice of Avery saying "Mommy Daddy, I awake. Me and Fancy Nancy came to snuggle with you ok?" YES PLEASE!! So, they crawled in with us and we snuggled and slowly woke up visiting and talking about all of the fun we had the night before at the cabin.
Avery forgot all about Santa coming to our house and was in no rush at all to get up (next year, I don't think we will have the same luxury), but once we reminded her, she was out to the living room in a hurry!

We all went out to the tree together to discover that Santa had left some gifts for all of us in the same Doc McStuffins wrapping paper as fancy Nancy Doll was wrapped in at the Cabin when Santa brought it (so exciting)! Holley was not home, which made it easy to take pictures, but it was sort of lonely in the same token. Santa even left Holley a present that we waited to open until she came home with us the day after Christmas. Christmas morning at home in our jammies having no timeline to follow, or agenda to do was perfect! We were just home, hanging out, enjoying the moment! Next year, Brandon and I both agreed, (yes, we both agreed on something), we need more of this and less running around!

Anyway, we enjoyed opening our gifts to and from each other and from Santa. We "peeked in our stockings" and had a great morning just the three of us! Then we tidied up a little bit and got dressed and headed over to The Thompson's for good company and a delicious meal!
